Mit den beiden neuen Systemen Teak 3020/Teak 3025 stellt Arinfotek jetzt eine leistungsfähige Plattformen für den Einsatz als Firewall/Router/IDS vor. Beide Geräte basieren auf der leistungsfähigen Intel Tolapai Plattform mit 1.2GHz Taktfrequenz. Die Geräte sind sowohl in einem 1U Rackmountgehäuse (Teak 3025) als auch in einem robusten Desktopgehäuse (Teak 3020) verfügbar und bieten jeweils 4 Intel 82573L basierte Gigabit LAN Anschlüsse, zwei davon bieten eine LAN By-Pass Funktion, wichtig bei Ausfällen.
Die integrierte Security Engine der Intel® QuickAssist Technology unterstützt, ähnlich der VIA Padlock Engine, gängige Verschlüsselung-, Hash- und Public Key Verfahren in Harware. Sie bietet damit einen eklatanten Performancevorteil gegenüber vergleichbaren Konkurrenzsystemen im Einsatz als VPN-Router oder anderen Applikationen mit hohem Verschlüsselungsanteil. HIer liegt die Tücke im Detail, da auch nicht alle Tolapai basierten Systeme diese funktion bieten.
